Twins SP Mike Pelfrey saddled with another no-decision Sunday

|(8/23/15) Pitchers who don't consistently last six innings either rack up a lot of losses or no-decisions. Fortunately for Twins starter Mike Pelfrey, it has been the latter.
Pelfrey received neither a win nor a loss in his fifth of six outings Sunday in Baltimore. This one was particularly lucky as he was banished after 4 2/3 innings having yielded three runs on nine hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
Jonathan Schoop played the role of villain, slamming an RBI single in the third and two-run single in the fifth that knocked Pelfrey out.
Pelfrey now has 11 no-decisions in 24 starts and a respectable 3.69 ERA.

|(8/18/15) Twins pitcher Mike Pelfrey allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings and left with the lead against the Yankees on Tuesday.
The Minnesota bullpen couldn't protect the lead, however, and Pelfrey took his fourth no-decision in his last five starts.
Pelfrey has a 2.45 ERA over that stretch, but he has just one win to show for it.
Twins SP Mike Pelfrey ends long losing skid
|by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer|
|(8/12/15) Mike Pelfrey finally got back into the win column Wednesday, tossing seven solid innings and getting plenty of run support from his Twins teammates in an 11-1 rout of the Rangers.
Pelfrey gave up just one run on four hits as he was able to work aggressively given the big lead handed to him. He struck out four and walked just one during his 101-pitch evening.
With the win, Pelfrey (6-7) ends a five-game losing streak and picks up his first victory since June 7 - a stretch of 10 starts.
Twins SP Mike Pelfrey gets knocked around by Indians on Friday
|by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer|
|(8/7/15) Twins starter Mike Pelfrey got shelled in his outing against the Indians on Friday. The right-hander allowed seven runs on 10 hits over 3 2/3 innings. He threw 74 pitches to record 11 outs, but escaped with a no-decision in the 10-9 victory.
Pelfrey was given a 6-0 lead in the third innning, but he gave up four runs in the bottom half of the frame. He allowed three more in the fourth before getting pulled from the game. The Indians had a 9-7 lead at the conclusion of that fourth inning, but the Twins were able to rally back and re-take the lead, getting Pelfrey off the hook.
Pelfrey had been pitching well leading up to this game. The seven runs allowed on Friday is one fewer than the total from his previous four starts. This was his poorest outing since he allowed eight runs in two innings against the Reds back on June 29.
