(7/14/13) The Phillies have activated catcher Erik Kratz from the 15-day disabled list, the club announced Sunday. Kratz has been out with a knee injury since June 8. He was expected to miss more time, but the Phillies needed an extra catcher on the roster with Carlos Ruiz banged up. Kratz went 2 for 12 in three rehab games at Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
