| Sadler placed on DL; Paronto up |
| (9/16/09) The Houston Astros have placed RHP Billy Sadler on the 60-day disabled list and have purchased the contract of RHP Chad Paronto from Triple-A Round Rock. Sadler, released by San Francisco on Aug. 5 and signed to a minor league contract by Houston, pitched in one game for the Astros, allowing two runs in 1 1-3 innings on Sept. 10 against Atlanta. He was a combined 5-3 with a 5.12 ERA in 16 starts for Round Rock and Fresno this season. |
