(5/15/13) The Dodgers officially signed pitcher Jonathan Sanchez to a minor-league contract on Wednesday and assigned him to Triple-A Albuquerque. The left-hander can opt out of his deal on July 1 if he is not on the major-league roster.

(5/15/13) Pending a physical, the Dodgers are set to sign free-agent pitcher Jonathan Sanchez Wednesday, according to ESPN. Sanchez, who was released by the Pirates last week, is expected to be sent to Triple-A Albuquerque.

(5/14/13) The Dodgers and pitcher Jonathan Sanchez are "zeroing in" on a minor-league contract, ESPN.com reports. The report added the left-hander may need a few starts in the minors before being called up.
Sanchez went 0-3 with an 11.85 ERA in five appearances (four starts) before being released by the Pirates.

(5/8/13) Pitcher Jonathan Sanchez, who was designated April 30, cleared waivers and was released by the Pirates Wednesday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Sanchez was 0-3 with an 11.85 ERA before he was taken off the 40-man roster last week.

(4/30/13) The Pirates have designated pitcher Jonathan Sanchez for assignment, the club announced Tuesday.
Sanchez served up seven home runs and an 11.85 ERA in 13 innings for Pittsburgh. Unless another team claims him -- unlikely, at this point -- the Pirates are on the hook for the remainder of his $1.375 million deal.
Pitcher Bryan Morris was called up from Triple-A Indianapolis to take his spot.
