Johnson appeared in 67 games for the Padres in 2011, and he hit .190 with three home runs. The Mets had been in the market for a backup catcher, and they appeared to have filled that need with Johnson. (Updated 12/22/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
Johnson does not hit for power or average, and while he should see a fair amount of playing time, he will probably not be much of a factor in Fantasy. He can be ignored in all but the deepest of NL-only leagues. (Updated 12/22/2011).
