Butera needed to pitch for Twins: Twins catcher Drew Butera was needed to work an inning in Sunday's blowout loss to the Brewers. He entered in the eighth inning with Minnesota trailing by 14 and worked a scoreless frame, striking out one and walking another. "I just wanted to do whatever helped the team," Butera told MLB.com. "Obviously, you never want to be in that situation because our team is down. So, hopefully, I'll never have to do it again." Butera walked in both of his plate appearances in the 16-4 loss, with one driving in a run. It was his first RBI of the year. (Updated 05/20/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Butera does not see a ton of playing time behind Joe Mauer and Ryan Doumit in Minnesota but he has gotten off to a decent start thus far, batting .360. Still, the career .190 hitter should continue to be ignored in all Fantasy formats until his role changes. (Updated 05/20/2012).
