Teagarden to back up Wieters: The Orioles acquired C Taylor Teagarden from the Rangers on Thursday, according to the Baltimore Sun. The Rangers will receive minor league RP Randy Henry and a player to be named later in return. Teagarden appeared in 14 games with Texas this season, hitting .235. He will now be the Orioles' backup to starting catcher Matt Wieters. (Updated 12/01/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
The Orioles brought Teagarden on board mostly for his defense, but he has some power, too, and that will play well at Camden Yards. He is not likely to see much playing time, however, as Wieters will catch close to every day. That will make Teagarden a low-end option for AL-only leagues. (Updated 12/01/2011).
