(5/21/13) Indians designated hitter/first baseman Jason Giambi is in the team's starting lineup Tuesday.
Nick Swisher is not in the team's lineup for family reasons, and will be replaced by Mark Reynolds, opening a spot for Giambi. Giambi will DH and hit seventh against Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer.

(5/6/13) Indians designated hitter Jason Giambi drove in two runs Monday in a 7-3 win over the Athletics.
He went 2 for 4 with a double from the No. 7 spot in the order. Giambi, who has a five-RBI game this year, is batting .242 over 33 at-bats with two homers and eight RBI.

(4/20/13) Indians first baseman Jason Giambi went 2 for 4 with a homer, five RBI and three runs scored Saturday against the Astros. The 42-year-old also walked twice in the 19-6 victory.
Giambi doubled home two in his first at-bat then had a three-run homer off Travis Blackley in the fourth inning. He is 3 for 16 (.188) through four games with six RBI.

(4/17/13) Cleveland designated hitter Jason Giambi recorded his first hit as a member of the Indians Wednesday night at home against Boston. He deposited it 417 feet into the right-field seats for his first home run of the season.
Giambi went 1 for 4 in the game with his solo shot off Alfredo Aceves coming in the sixth inning as part of back-to-back jacks with Nick Swisher.
Giambi, playing in only his second game, is 1 for 8.

(4/13/13) Indians manager Terry Francona told reporters that designated hitter Jason Giambi will probably make his debut Sunday against the White Sox. Giambi, who began the season on the disabled list with a strained back, was activated Friday.
He'll face Jake Peavy on Sunday. Giambi has not faced Peavy since 2008. He's hitting .200 (1 for 5) with a double and one RBI lifetime against the right-hander.
