Preseason Outlook

Giles enjoyed a respectable second stage of his career, transforming from a feared middle-of-the-order hitter in Pittsburgh to an on-base specialist with extra-base pop in San Diego. But last year, his train finally went off the tracks. He hit .191 and didn't play after June 18 because of a right knee contusion. At age 39, he joins the Dodgers with an invitation to spring training but he still stands little chance of playing every day again. You can ignore him on Draft Day. (Updated 2/7/10)
