Preseason Outlook

Izzy providing effective outings: Angels reliever Jason Isringhausen finally allowed a run this season on Sunday against the Yankees, when he was tagged for one run on three hits and one walk in 1 1/3 innings. Prior to that, Isringhausen fired 3 1/3 scoreless innings. He has a 1.93 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and four strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. (Updated 04/17/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
It's been amazing the career revival Isringhausen has had since returning to the majors last season with the Mets. He's not in the closer's role for Los Angeles, but he's pitched in either the seventh or eighth inning this season. He's getting late-inning work, but it's come in losses, which is why he has no holds. Isringhausen has marginal Fantasy appeal. (Updated 04/17/2012).
