| Ortiz chooses free agency |
| (4/22/10) Former Dodgers pitcher Russ Ortiz has chosen to become a free agent after being designated for assignment over the weekend. The Dodgers said the right-hander opted out on Thursday. They had cut the 35-year-old right on Sunday. The Dodgers purchased Ortiz's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on April 5. He was 0-1 with a 10.29 ERA in six games. |

| (4/18/10) The San Jose Mercury News reports that the Dodgers have designated Russ Ortiz for assignment. He made six appearances in relief, posting an 10.29 ERA over seven innings. |
| Dodgers add another Ortiz to roster |
| (4/5/10) The Dodgers called up Russ Ortiz from Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes on Monday and assigned reliever Cory Wade (shoulder) to the 15-day DL. |
| Wade on 25-man for now |
| (4/4/10) Dodgers RP Cory Wade is on the opening day roster, at least for now, reports the Los Angeles Time on Sunday via Twitter. Wade, however, had shoulder surgery last month and is not likely to pitch for the Dodgers until June. The Dodgers are expected to make a roster move prior to Monday's season opener. It is expected Wade will go to the DL and L.A. will add Russ Ortiz to the roster. |

| (3/22/10) Dodgers fifth-starter candidate Russ Ortiz entered Monday's game against the Brewers after starter Clayton Kershaw and went the rest of the way for a four-inning save. Ortiz gave up just one run on four hits with three strikeouts. His ERA on the spring is 2.08. |
