| Ramirez to play in Taiwan |

(3/10/13) CBSSports.com Baseball Insider Jon Heyman reports free agent Manny Ramirez has agreed to sign with the EDA Rhinos in Taiwan and is expected to report to his new team Monday. The agreement was confirmed by Ramirez's agent, Barry Praver.

(2/27/13) ESPN reports free agent outfielder Manny Ramirez said he will play in Taiwan if he doesn't reach a deal with a major-league team by March 7. "I will play in Taiwan if I cannot get work in the U.S. by that deadline," Ramirez told ESPNDeportes.com. "It will be a new experience, to experience another culture while I keep doing what I love and what I've done in all my life, playing baseball." Ramirez said he has an agreement to play for the EDA Rhinos of the China Professional Baseball League. "My agents called almost every team in the AL with apparent needs -- a veteran to use as a designated hitter and [with] occasional pop, but nobody was interested," Ramirez said.

(1/16/13) Manny Ramirez's agent told FOXSports.com Wednesday that his client intends to play in the major leagues again. Ramirez currently has four home runs in the Dominican Winter League postseason.

Domestic violence charge against Manny Ramirez dropped
Manny Ramirez, now of the Oakland A's, was arrested back in late September on charges of misdemeanor battery. But he will not be prosecuted for the incident and is off the hook.
