Preseason Outlook

After looking washed up with the Tigers one year earlier, Sheffield signed on with the Mets last year and showed he had a little something left, hitting 10 homers in 268 at-bats to finish with an .823 OPS. He frequently had to sit because of injury, though, as you'd expect for a 41-year-old. He stands little chance of playing at all this year, especially now that he has 500 home runs, so don't bother drafting him except as a late-round flier in the deepest of leagues. (Updated 1/22/10)
