Please don't get excited about Chris Getz
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (3/24/2013) The Royals announced Chris Getz as their starting second baseman Saturday. While winning a job stirs excitement in Fantasy, let's temper our expectations when it comes to Getz.
It's true he's enjoying a great spring, batting .378 (17 for 45) with one homer, three doubles, seven RBI, three stolen bases and 12 runs in 22 games. However, Getz doesn't have tremendous offensive upside.
He might hit for a decent average, but he lacks power and his RBI production will be nothing to write home about either. Getz is strictly an AL-only Fantasy option on Draft Day.
