(1/15/2009) Reliever Denny Stark is among the 17 non-roster players who received invitations to spring training, the Mariners announced Wednesday. The list of invitee includes eight pitchers, three catchers, four infielders and two outfielders. Besides Stark, right-handed pitchers Eric Hull, Chris Jakubauskas, Shawn Kelley, Luis Munoz, Tracy Thorpe and Sean White, along with left-hander Chris Seddon, will report to camp in Peoria, Ariz., Feb. 13. Veteran Jamie Burke heads the list of catchers, which also includes Adam Moore and Luis Oliveros. Infielders Chris Woodward, Callis Crabbe, Oswaldo Navarro and Chris Shelton, and outfielders Freddy Guzman and Prentice Redman also have been invited to camp.

(4/8/2008) The Red Sox acquired right-handed reliever Eric Hull from the Dodgers in exchange for minor league infielder Christian Lara. The 28-year-old Hull was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on March 31. He was assigned Tuesday to the inactive list at Triple-A Pawtucket and to Boston's extended spring training program in Fort Myers, Fla. The 22-year-old Lara, a shortstop, played last season for Class A Lancaster. He batted .238 with nine home runs and 53 RBI in 99 games.
RP Hull designated for assignment
(3/31/2008) The Dodgers made 3B Blake DeWitt's debut official Monday morning by purchasing his contract from Double-A Jacksonville and placing infielder Tony Abreu on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 26. They also purchased the contract of infielder Angel Chavez from Triple-A Las Vegas, and made room on their 40-man roster by designating right-hander Eric Hull for assignment.

(7/23/2007) The Dodgers called up reliever Eric Hull from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday and sent left-hander Eric Stults down to the minors. The right-handed Hull was on the active roster June 1-4 but did not play in a game. He was 3-3 with nine saves and a 3.18 ERA in 38 relief appearances at Las Vegas. Stults made his first start of the season -- third of his career -- in the finale of the four-game series against the Mets on Sunday. Stults went 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs and five hits with no walks and didn't get the decision in the Dodgers' 5-4 loss. Stults appeared in five games with the Dodgers and had a 4.50 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 16 innings since joining the team July 4.
