Lowe took the loss in Tuesday's 14-inning game, and the team decided to bring up a fresh pitcher in his stead. He owns a 3.86 ERA and 6:6 K:BB ratio in seven innings, though four of the six walks he issued were intentional.

(6/25/2014) Indians pitcher Mark Lowe had a rough outing Tuesday.

With the game in the 14th inning, Lowe got the call for Cleveland. He allowed a lead off hit to Gerardo Parra to start the inning. Parra managed to steal second, and move over to third on a fly out from Paul Goldschmidt. Lowe was then ordered to intentionally walk Miguel Montero. After Montero moved to second on a wild pitch, Aaron Hill singled to center, driving in the game's winning run.

Over 2/3 innings of work, Lowe allowed one run on two hits. He walked one batter. The loss dropped Lowe to 0-1 on the year.

(5/22/2014) The Indians have made several moves with their pitching staff.

The shelving of starter Zach McAllister on the disabled list has motivated the promotion from Triple-A Columbus of T.J. House, who will likely take his place in the rotation. House has been solid this season with a 2.40 ERA in seven starts and 34 strikeouts in 41 1/3 innings.

The team has also demoted reliever kyle Crockett and selected veteran Mark Lowe from Columbus. Lowe has 21 strikeouts in 16 innings.

(11/21/2013) The Rays added infielder Vince Belnome and pitchers Jesse Hahn, C.J. Riefenhauser and Kirby Yates to the 40-man roster Wednesday, while also signing catcher Mayo Acosta and pitchers Mike Colla, Mark Lowe, Victor Mateo, Eduardo Quinonez, Sam Runion and Albert Suarez to minor-league contracts.

Belnome hit .300/.408/.446 with eight home runs and 67 RBI in 444 at-bats with Triple-A Durham. Hahn went 2-1 with a 2.15 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 63:18 K:BB ratio in 67 innings over 19 starts with high Class A Charlotte.

Riefenhauser went 6-1 with a 1.22 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 70:19 K:BB ratio in 73 2/3 innings between Double-A Montgomery and Triple-A Durham. Yates went 3-2 with a 1.90 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 93:23 K:BB ratio in 61 2/3 innings with Triple-A Durham.

(11/16/2013) The Rays have signed pitcher Mark Lowe to a minor-league deal, ESPN reports. Lowe surrendered 12 earned runs in 11 2/3 innings with the Angels last season while going 3-1 with a 3.14 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 37:10 K:BB ratio in 28 2/3 innings with Triple-A Syracuse.

The 30-year-old last pitched in the majors this season back on May 21 for the Angels. He was designated for assignment and signed a deal with the Nats.
