Mitch Talbot signs with Mets

(3:54 pm ET) Free-agent pitcher Mitch Talbot has signed a minor-league deal with the Mets.

Talbot hasn't pitched in the majors since 2011. He had a 6.64 ERA in 63 2/3 innings with the Indians. Talbot began 2013 with the Marlins, but was assigned to minor-league camp during spring training.
