Romak gets nice start to spring

(3/4/2011) Royals OF Jamie Romak made his spring debut on Thursday against the Angels and wasted no time making an impact. "I've just been taking ground balls and BP, I hadn't seen a pitch yet," Romak told MLB.com. "I was just looking for a fastball and swung hard at it. It felt good, a nice way to start the spring." Romak finished the game 1 for 2.

The trade will be announced after physicals are completed, according to a baseball official familiar with the negotiations who requested anonymity because the deal was still being finalized.
