(4/12/2008) The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Tim Lahey, who was claimed from the Cubs by the Phillies off waivers at the end of spring training, cleared waivers again Friday and was sent back to his original team, the Minnesota Twins.

(3/28/2008) The Phillies claimed RHP Tim Lahey off waivers from the Cubs, outrighted RHP J.D. Durbin, SS Ray Olmedo and OF Chris Snelling to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, signed UTL Chris Woodward to a minor league contract and reassigned RHP Kris Benson to minor league camp Friday.
(12/6/2007) Relief pitcher Tim Lahey was the first selection in the winter meetings draft Thursday, picked from Minnesota by the Rays and then sold to the Cubs. In an event known as the Rule 5 draft, 18 players were selected off Triple-A rosters at a cost of $50,000 each. Players chosen in the draft must stay on the active major league roster with their new club all season or be offered back to their old team for $25,000. The Twins lost three players in the draft. Boston and Cleveland each lost two. Fourteen of the 18 players selected were pitchers.
