Adam Rosales clubs two homers in Texas win

(8/6/2014) Rangers second baseman Adam Rosales was apparently not satisfied Wednesday to hit his third home run off White Sox stud Chris Sale in 10 career at-bats. He also blasted off against replacement Daniel Webb.

Rosales, who provided all the runs in a Texas victory, sweetened his stat line to .324/.410/.618 with his big performance. He has three home runs in his last 13 at-bats.

(7/27/2014) Rangers infielder Adam Rosales unleashed his first home run of the season Sunday night at home against the Athletics.

Rosales took starter Scott Kazmir deep for a two-run home run in the second inning. He finished 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI in a 9-3 victory. He owns a .250/.333/.417 slash line with five RBI in 24 at-bats.

(8/12/2013) Athletics infielder Adam Rosales has been re-claimed by the Rangers Monday.

It marks the second time the Rangers have claimed Rosales from the A's in August. Rosales was designated for assignment by the A's July 31. He was claimed by the Rangers, but designated for assignment again August 5. The A's claimed him, but designated him for assignment for the second time this year Saturday.

Rosales is hitting .191/.267/.316 in 136 at-bats.

Rosales was 0 for 1 with the A's in one game before getting designated. He had been with Texas previously before Oakland picked him up for the second time.

(6/7/2013) Athletics shortstop Adam Rosales had a big game Thursday, as he drove in two runs, including the game winner in the 10th inning, in a 5-4 win over the White Sox.

Rosales drove in his first run of the game in the fifth inning on a double to left field, and then homered to left in the 10th to end the game. He finished the game 2 for 4 with two RBI and a run scored.

Rosales is hitting just .227 with a .714 OPS in 97 at-bats, but he does have four home runs on the season.

(5/29/2013) Athletics infielder Adam Rosales hit his third home run in Tuesday's win over San Francisco.

The home run, a solo shot, was Rosales' only hit. Rosales has gotten the last seven starts at shortstop. It appears the Athletics may be settling into a Jed Lowrie-Adam Rosales middle infield, at least against left-handed pitching -- four of the last five starters the Athletics have faced have been southpaws.

Rosales is hitting just .220/.312/.378, but he has a .310/.408/.476 line against lefties.

(5/26/2013) Athletics manager Bob Melvin doesn't seem too concerned about infielder Adam Rosales, who entered play Sunday against the Astros mired in a 3-for-28 slump in his last 11 games (seven starts). It has sent his season average plummeting from .318 to .236.

"He's just going through a tough time," Melvin said, per MLB.com. "Last time I looked up he was over .300, now he's down a little bit. Just the ebbs and flows of the season. There's times when you're seeing the ball really good, times you don't, and right now he's going through a little bit of a tough time."

(5/8/2013) Athletics shortstop Adam Rosales hit what appeared to be the game-tying home run in the ninth inning of Wednesday's game against the Indians. But he was denied his second homer of the season by a questionable replay review that failed to overturn the original double call.

Rosales would finish the game, from which manager Bob Melvin was ejected, stranded in scoring position in a 4-3 loss. He's hitting .293 while playing the role of regular starter since joining the team in late April.

(4/19/2013) Athletics infielder Adam Rosales, on the 15-day disabled list with a strained intercostal muscle, will likely remain on a rehab assignment until the team returns from its six-game road trip, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Friday. Oakland is scheduled to begin a six-game homestand on April 25 against the Orioles.
