Miller cut by Phillies


(3/11/2011) MLB.com reports that the Phillies re-assigned 16 players to minor league camp on Friday. Among the players re-assigned were: right-handers Brian Bass, Eddie Bonine, Andrew Carpenter and Michael Schwimer; left-hander Ryan Feierabend; catcher Joel Naughton; infielders Tagg Bozied and Robb Quinlan; and outfielder Matt Miller.

Young among Rockies' latest cuts


(3/31/2010) The Rockies optioned second baseman Eric O. Young Jr. to Triple-A Colorado Springs and reassigned catcher Paul Phillips, outfielders Jay Payton, Cole Garner and Matt J. Miller and infielders Omar Quintanilla and Michael Paulk to minor league camp Tuesday.

(3/17/2009) The Rockies reassigned LHP Cedrick Bowers, RHPs Matt Daley and Brandon Hynick, C Michael McKenry and OF Matt J. Miller to minor league camp Monday. They optioned RHPs Samuel Deduno and Shane Lindsay to Double-A Tulsa, SS Hector Gomez to Class A Modesto and RHPs Jason Hirsh, Ryan Mattheus, Steven Register and 2B Eric Young Jr. to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
