Brewers release pitcher Jim Hoey

(4/21/2013) The Brewers have released minor-league pitcher Jim Hoey, the club announced Sunday.

Hoey allowed an absurd 12 hits and 11 runs (all earned) in just 3 1/3 innings for Triple-A Nashville. The 30-year-old last appeared in the majors in 2011 for Minnesota.
