Braves add Ridgway to bullpen
(9/2/2008) The Braves recalled pitchers Charlie Morton and Jeff Ridgway and infielder Brent Lillibridge from Triple-A Richmond on Tuesday. The Braves also purchased the contracts of right-handers James Parr and Jorge Julio, and catcher Corky Miller from the Triple-A team. The team transferred outfielder Matt Diaz and pitcher Rafael Soriano to the 60-day disabled list. Diaz was first placed on the DL on May 28 with a strained left knee. He has hit .250 with 14 RBI in 42 games this season.
Atlanta set for September recalls
(8/31/2008) Atlanta will recall SP Charlie Morton, SS Brent Lillibridge and RP Jeff Ridgway from Triple-A Richmond on Tuesday. The Braves will purchase the contracts of C Corky Miller and RP James Parr from Richmond. All five will be added to the roster for Tuesday's game in Florida. To make room on the 40-man roster, OF Matt Diaz and RP Rafael Soriano will be moved from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list.
Lillibridge called up for Braves
(6/21/2008) The Atlanta Braves recalled infielder Brent Lillibridge from Triple-A Richmond on Saturday and optioned left-handed pitcher Jeff Ridgway to Richmond. Lillibridge was 0-for-8 and drove in one run in his first stint with Atlanta in April. He was hitting only .207 at Richmond but had three-hit games on Friday and Saturday at Syracuse. He had 15 stolen bases in 54 games. "(Lillibridge) is our only extra infielder," Cox said, adding he didn't want to send Ridgway back to Richmond "but we had no choice. Somebody had to go, because we had to make a move."

(6/11/2008) The Braves made several roster moves Wednesday. They recalled outfielder Brandon Jones and left-hander Jeff Ridgway from Triple-A Richmond and they optioned outfielder Josh Anderson to Richmond. Manager Bobby Cox said Charlie Morton would also be called up from Triple-A to start Saturday's game against the Angels. Jorge Campillo will start Sunday.
(1/18/2008) The Braves sent troubled infielder Willy Aybar to Tampa Bay in a three-player trade Thursday that brought left-hander Jeff Ridgway to Atlanta. The Rays also received minor league infielder Chase Fontaine from Atlanta. Fontaine, 22, hit a combined .280 with seven home runs and 58 RBI for three low-level minor league teams last season.
Rays call up pair of lefties
(9/16/2007) The Tampa Bay Devil Rays called up left-handers J.P. Howell and Jeff Ridgway from Triple-A Durham after Saturday night's game, and the pair will join the team on Monday in Anaheim. Howell made 21 starts at Durham, going 7-8 with a 3.38 ERA. Ridgway was 2-3 with a 3.06 ERA at Durham working out of the bullpen. The 27-year-old has spent his entire career in the minors.
