(6/15/2007) White Sox RP Dewon Day (back) returned to the hill Friday against the Pirates. He pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings, not allowing a hit and striking out one. However, the bad news came after the game. White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said Day would be put on the 15-day disabled list with a sore back and David Aardsma would be recalled from Triple-A Charlotte. The moves were not expected to be made official until Saturday.

(6/11/2007) Manager Ozzie Guillen was upset he had to bring in closer Bobby Jenks after the White Sox took a five-run lead into the ninth. Fans let Dewon Day and Boone Logan hear it, too. The bullpen allowed two runs, boosting its ERA to 9.09 in its past 29 games. "It's one of those things where everybody caught the same bug, I think," Jenks said. "It just makes it look that much worse when, instead of one person struggling, it's a handful."

(4/15/2007) According to MLB.com, White Sox RP prospect Dewon Day struck out six over two innings of relief during Saturday's 7-5 win for Double-A Birmingham over Mobile. The right-handed closer has 16 strikeouts and one walk over 5 2/3 innings this season. Day added his first victory to three previous saves after Saturday's outing.
