(3/17/2010) The Giants have assigned the following players to minor league camp: SP Craig Clark, Rafael Cova, RP Steve Edlefsen, RP Eric Hacker, RP Osiris Matos, SP Clayton Tanner, RP Dan Turpen and RP Craig Whitaker.

(1/22/2010) The San Francisco Giants have announced the following players will be invited to spring training as non-roster invitees: outfielders Wendell Fairley, Roger Kieschnick and Thomas Neal; infielders Ehire Adrianza, Brandon Crawford and Nicholas Noonan; catchers Steve Holm, Johnny Monell, Hector Sanchez and Jackson Williams; and pitchers Denny Bautista, Santiago Casilla, Craig Clark, Rafael Cova, Steven Edlefsen, Eric Hacker, Osiris Matos, Tony F. Pena, Felix Romero, Clayton Tanner, Daniel Turpen and Craig Whitaker.

(8/6/2008) MLB.com reports that the Giants activated RP Keiichi Yabu from the 15-day DL Wednesday and called up RP Billy Sadler from Triple-A. To make room for the pair, San Francisco optioned Osiris Matos to Triple-A Fresno and designated Sergio Romo for assignment.

(7/5/2008) In his second big-league outing, Giants reliever Osiris Matos was charged with all five runs Friday. He was pitching because Tyler Walker and Keiichi Yabu were dealing with aches and pains, according to The Sports Xchange. Still, manager Bruce Bochy second-guessed himself for not bringing in another reliever during the rally. All of the runs were unearned, so it didn't affect Matos' ERA. Nonetheless, the runs showed up on the scoreboard, and that's all that mattered in the opener of a weekend series.
