Nolan Reimold could be back from DL by Monday

(7/25/2014) Blue Jays manager John Gibbons indicated that outfielder Nolan Reimold could return from the disabled list as early as Monday against the Red Sox in Boston, MLB.com reports Friday. Reimold has been sidelined since July 11 with a calf injury. He is hitting .333 with three RBI in just 12 at-bats.

(7/12/2014) Blue Jays outfielder Nolan Reimold has been placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday, after suffering a calf injury Friday.

Reimold told SportsNet.ca the injury is not too serious, but it would keep him out during the team's final two games before the All-Star break. The move was made to get another player on the roster for Saturday and Sunday's games against the Rays, but will keep Reimold out until at least late July.

Reimold suffered the injury while going from second to third on a Juan Francisco grounder in the fourth inning. He was replaced by Darin Mastroianni. Reimold is hitting .333 with three RBI in just 12 at-bats. His status now remains up in the air for Saturday's game against Tampa Bay.

(7/10/2014) Blue Jays outfielder Nolan Reimold has had a soft landing since joining the Blue Jays, as he put together his second multi-hit effort in a row Wednesday against the Angels.

Reimold, who went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles Tuesday, followed that up with another 2-for-4 effort Wednesday. He had one double Wednesday, and drove in three runs, while adding a walk in an 8-7 loss.

Reimold was acquired by the Blue Jays after the Orioles waived him following a rehab assignment. Prior to this week, he had not played since May, 2013, due to neck problems.

Reimold finished his rehab assignment at Double-A Bowie, and the team could not find a way to keep him in the organization. Reimold has not played in the majors since July, 2013, and will not head to waivers.

If Reimold clears waivers, MLB.com reports the Orioles are likely to outright him to Triple-A Norfolk.

(6/30/2014) Orioles outfielder Nolan Reimold has been recalled from his rehab assignment, though he still remains on the major-league disabled list, MLB.com reports.

The Orioles have yet to designate Reimold for assignment, but they'll need a resolution in the next day or two. While he has yet to play with the Orioles this season while recovering from a neck injury, he has managed to hit .315/.420/.481 with two home runs and nine RBI in 54 at-bats with Double-A Bowie.

Reimold is on a rehab assignment with Double-A Bowie. He is batting .315 with a .420 on-base percentage, .481 slugging percentage, .902 OPS, two home runs, three doubles, nine RBI, 10 runs, 12 walks and 13 strikeouts in 17 games.

You count the rehab that he'd go out on and extended spring where he can do games down there. I think this is, considering all the game he's missed, we look forward to getting Nolan back at the end of May. He's not doing any baseball activity. He's getting treatment and working out. That's what I've been told. That's kind of where Nolan is."
