by Al Melchior | Data Analyst
(10/31/2013) The Reds outrighted pitcher Greg Reynolds and catcher Corky Miller on Thursday, and both players elected to become free agents.

Reynolds made several spot starts for the Reds this past season, and he finished with a 1-3 record and 5.52 ERA over 29 1/3 innings. Miller hit .257 in 17 games.

(9/29/2013) Reds pitcher Greg Reynolds fell to 1-3 in his team's 4-2 loss to the Pirates Sunday, giving up three earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four in five innings.

Reynolds wasn't able to secure a win while filling in for one final start in the regular season. He ends the year with a 5.52 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 13:6 K:BB ratio in 29 1/3 innings.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/24/2013) Reds pitcher Mat Latos will make the start Wednesday against the Mets, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Greg Reynolds was originally listed as Wednesday's starter.

Greg Reynolds goes 3 2/3 in no-decision

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(9/19/2013) Reds starter Greg Reynolds returned to the rotation Wednesday in Houston for the first time since Aug. 31 against the Rockies. Reynolds didn't pitch poorly, but was removed from the game before he could qualify for a win.

Reynolds took a no-decision as the Reds were leading 3-2 at the time of his departure after just 3 2/3 innings and 65 pitches. He gave up two runs on four hits and two walks with a strikeout. He gave up a Brandon Barnes solo homer in the third. His ERA is at 5.55 on the year.

It is not yet known whether or not Reynolds will remain in the rotation going forward for the Reds. He does not currently have his next start scheduled.

Greg Reynolds to return to Reds' rotation

by Al Melchior | Data Analyst
(9/15/2013) The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the Reds have named Greg Reynolds as the team's starting pitcher for Wednesday's series finale against the Astros. Reynolds has not made a start since his Aug. 31 outing at the Rockies, though he has made one appearance out of the bullpen since then.

Greg Reynolds stifles Rockies in first win

by Jack Moore | CBSSports.com
(9/1/2013) Reds starter Greg Reynolds picked up his first win of the season in sparkling fashion Saturday against Colorado.

Reynolds allowed three runs on seven hits and didn't walk a batter. He struck out five in a performance particularly impressive for Coors Field. Reynolds' ERA sits at 4.74.

Greg Reynolds has efficient outing in losing effort

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(8/25/2013) Reds starting pitcher Greg Reynolds pitched well Sunday against the Brewers in place of Tony Cingrani (back), but Brewers starter Marco Estrada was just that much better in a 3-1 win for Milwaukee.

Reynolds (0-2), who was recalled from Triple-A Louisville, allowed two runs on five hits and two walks, while striking out two in six innings. The only runs Reynolds allowed were on Caleb Gindl's two-run homer in the second inning.

If Reynolds remains in the rotation and the Reds don't skip his start, then he's on track to start Saturday at Colorado.

Tony Cingrani placed on DL, Greg Reynolds to start Sunday

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8/24/2013) The Reds announced Saturday that pitcher Tony Cingrani has been placed on the 15-day disabled list. Cingrani exited his last start Tuesday with a lower back strain.

Greg Reynolds will start Sunday in place of Cingrani. His only appearance with the Reds this season came as the starter in the second game of a doubleheader against the Giants on July 23, when he gave up five earned runs on eight hits and one walk in five innings while striking out one and taking the loss.

Greg Reynolds could start Sunday for Reds

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(8/24/2013) If Tony Cingrani is unable to pitch Sunday due to a back strain, the Reds have already decided who will take the mound. Greg Reynolds joined the team from Triple-A Louisville Saturday, and manager Dusty Baker has tabbed him to start, if Cingrani is sidelined.

"He’s our guy if Cingrani can't go," Baker told MLB.com. "It's kind of leaning that way or else he wouldn’t be here.

Reynolds appeared in one game earlier in the season fro the Reds, allowing five runs in five innings in a start. He has a 2.42 ERA in 156 1/3 innings at Triple-A.

Greg Reynolds designated for assignment

by Jack Moore | CBSSports.com
(7/28/2013) Reds minor league pitcher Greg Reynolds has been designated for assignment, MLB.com reports. Reynolds, 28, allowed a 2.54 ERA in 18 starts at Triple-A Louisville and allowed five runs in five innings in his only start at the major league level this season.

Greg Reynolds hit hard in Game 2

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(7/24/2013) Reds starter Greg Reynolds endured a rough outing as he was pegged with the loss in Game 2 of a doubleheader against the Giants Tuesday night. The right-hander was shelled for five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out one over five innings pitched in a 5-3 loss.

Reynolds, who was called up to start the game, could be sent back down to Triple-A Louisville or used as Sunday's starter against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

Greg Reynolds to start in Tuesday's doubleheader for Reds

by Jack Moore | CBSSports.com
(7/21/2013) Reds pitcher Greg Reynolds will be called up to start a game in Tuesday's doubleheader against San Francisco, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Reynolds, 28, owns a 2.55 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 127 1/3 innings for Triple-A Louisville this season.

Greg Reynolds can opt out Saturday

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(6/10/2013) Reds pitcher Greg Reynolds is eligible to opt out of his minor-league deal Saturday, according to MLBTradeRumors.com.

In 86 innings in Triple-A this year, Reynolds has a 2.51 ERA. Reynolds has made two brief appearances with the Rockies in his career, but has not pitched in the majors since 2011. With Tony Cingrani the ideal replacement for any injured Reds pitcher, Reynolds may have a better chance reaching the majors with another team. If he believes he can, he'll likely opt out of his deal Saturday.
