(2/23/2011) Baseball America reports the Angels have signed catcher Cole Armstrong to a minor league deal. However, he has a chance to make the 40-man roster as a defensive specialist out of camp.

White Sox trim spring roster by eight


(3/16/2010) The White Sox made the following eight roster cuts Tuesday: optioned RHP Freddy Dolsi, RHP Lucas Harrell, RHP Jhonny Nunez, RHP Brian Omogrosso and RHP Clevelan Santeliz to Triple-A; outrighted RHP Brandon Hynick to Triple-A; optioned RHP Santo Luis to Double-A; and reassigned C Cole Armstrong to minor-league camp.
