(6/8/2013) The Seattle Mariners recalled infielder Carlos Triunfel from Triple-A Tacoma Saturday with Jesus Sucre going on the disabled list, MLB.com reports.

Triunfel was up with Seattle for five games earlier in the year and went 0 for 13 with three strikeouts. He's 5 for 35 (.143) for his career to this point in the majors.

(5/24/2013) The Mariners recalled shortstop Carlos Triunfel Friday, the team announced. Triunfel takes the roster spot of Robert Andino, who was designated for assignment.

Triunfel had been playing for Triple-A Tacoma, hitting .300/.351/.476 with four home runs and four stolen bases in 170 at-bats. He made his major-league debut last season, going 5 for 22 with two doubles, two runs and three RBI while with the Mariners.
