Diamondbacks release Kila Ka'aihue

(6/2/2013) The Diamondbacks have released first baseman Kila Ka'aihue, MLB.com reports. Ka'aihue exercised an out clause in his minor league contract with the club. The 29-year-old was hitting .313/.426/.620 at Triple-A Reno.

(3/18/2013) The Arizona Diamondbacks continued to chip away at their roster Monday by reassigning first baseman Kila Ka’aihue, pitcher Rommie Lewis, catcher Rossmel Perez and outfielder Brad Snyder to their minor-league camp. The team also optioned starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs to Triple-A Reno.

Ka'aihue signs minor league deal with Arizona

(11/22/2012) The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed free agent first baseman Kila Ka'aihue to a minor league deal, the team announced Wednesday. Ka'aihue hit .234 with four home runs in 128 at-bats with the Royals in 2012.
