Litsch becomes a free agent

(10/11/2012) Right-hander Jesse Litsch opted to become a free agent rather than accept a minor-league assignment Wednesday, after the Blue Jays activated him from the 60-day DL. Litsch didn't pitch at all in 2012, missing the entire season because of an infection that developed from a platelet-rich plasma injection in March.
