Twins make several more cuts


(4/4/2010) Minnesota finalized their 25-man roster on Sunday and the following players did not make the team: OF Juan Portes, 1B Chris Parmelee, 2B Brian Dinkelman, 3B Brock Peterson, SS Toby Gardenhire, SP Anthony Slama and SP Kyle Waldrop.

Peterson smashes 2nd spring homer


(3/31/2010) Twins 3B Brock Peterson smashed a solo two-out homer against the Yankees on Wednesday in spring action. Peterson went 1 for 4 with his second spring homer. He is batting .256 on the spring.

Twins announce spring invites


(1/12/2010) The Minnesota Twins have announced the following spring training invitees: outfielders Ben Revere, Rene Tosoni and Juan Portes; infielders Chris Parmelee, Brock Peterson, Steve Singleton and Brian Dinkelman; catchers Jair Fernandez, Danny Lehmann and Danny Rams; and pitchers Kyle Waldrop, Anthony Slama, Mike Maroth and Jose Lugo.

Twins cut five from camp


(3/27/2009) The Twins cut five players from camp on Friday. OF Jason Pridie was optioned to Triple-A Rochester, while RP Sean Henn, RP Bobby Keppel, 3B Brock Peterson and OF David Winfree were reassigned to minor league camp.

Peterson hits a slam


(2/26/2009) Minnesota replacement 3B Brock Peterson hit a grand slam for Minnesota on Thursday against the Reds in an exhibition game. Peterson replaced Buscher at first base and hit the slam in the eighth inning off Ramon Ramirez.

Twins hand out spring invites


(1/15/2009) Catchers Jeff Christy and Danny Lehmann, infielders Alejandro Machado, Brock Peterson and Danny Valencia and outfielders Dustin Martin and David Winfree were invited to spring training by the Twins. Martin came from the Mets in the Luis Castillo trade in 2007.
