Ramirez clears waivers, sent to Triple-A


(5/22/2010) After being designated for assignment Saturday, A's RP Edwar Ramirez cleared waivers and was sent to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, according to MLB.com. Ramirez posting a 4.91 ERA in 11 innings of work this season. He gave up nine hits and 10 walks while striking out 10 over that span.

(5/7/2010) The Oakland A's have recalled pitcher Edwar Ramirez from Triple-A Sacramento, according to the team's official Twitter feed. He was called up to take fill the roster spot vacated by SP Justin Duchscherer, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list due to a hip injury. In three appearances for the River Cats, Ramirez posted a 6.75 ERA with two strikeouts over four innings.
