by Bill Passonno | CBSSports.com (3/9/2013) Twins starting pitcher Deolis Guerra is expected to miss the first three months of the regular season after requiring surgery to alleviate a blood clot in his right shoulder, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. He is scheduled to have the procedure later this month. The issue was discovered Thursday after the right-hander was removed from Venezuelan's roster for the World Baseball Classic with a possible torn pectoral muscle. The surgery will involve the removal on his first rib on order to give his artery more room and eliminate the blood clot from becoming a recurring issue.
