Badenhop was called upon with a man on first and two outs in the 14th inning and needed seven pitches to induce a groundout and tally his fourth career save in the 6-4 Red Sox win. He has posted a 7.36 ERA and 4:2 K:BB ratio in 7 1/3 innings.

Burke Badenhop takes tough-luck loss

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/16/2014) Red Sox reliever Burke Badenhop took his second loss of the season Tuesday against the White Sox, though he didn't get much help from the defense.

Badenhop got the last out of the eighth inning, but ran into trouble in the ninth with the game tied at one. He allowed a leadoff walk to Alejandro De Aza, who was then caught stealing, before allowing a single and being pulled with two outs.

Badenhop took the loss as Chris Capuano allowed the White Sox to score the winning run, though that came on a throwing error by shortstop Xander Bogaerts. Badenhop has now allowed a run in four straight outings, leaving him with a 7.71 ERA in seven innings of work.

Burke Badenhop picks up one-out save

by Eye on College Basketball staff | CBSSports.com
(4/14/2013) Burke Badenhop recorded the final out for the Brewers in extra innings Sunday against St. Louis to pick up his first save.

Badenhop entered to face switch-hitter Carlos Beltran in relief of left-hander Mike Gonzalez, who recorded an out against left-handed batter Matt Carpenter for the second out of the 10th. The Brewers had already used Jim Henderson in the eighth inning to get work in -- he hadn't pitched in five days -- and so they used a committee approach to record the final three outs Sunday.
