The suspension begins immediatley.
McCutchen, formerly of the Pirates, switched to pitching sidearm this spring. He is playing with Triple-A Norfolk in the Orioles' organization this season and was 1-0 with a 6.14 ERA over 7 1/3 innings this spring.

Coaches told McCutchen they would like to see him lower his arm slot. McCutchen tested the new delivery during an intrasquad game. While he struggled in his first outing, hitting a batter, walking a batter and tossing a wild pitch, McCutchen is encouraged by the change. McCutchen spent most of last season with the Pirates' Triple-A club. He was a non-roster invite by the Orioles this spring.
