Tigers expect Jose Iglesias to sit out 2014 season

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(3/20/2014) Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski said Thursday the team is preparing to play the 2014 season without shortstop Jose Iglesias. Dombrowski said a CT scan "indicated bilateral tibia stress fractures."

"Jose’s activity will be limited to non-weight bearing conditioning for the next 4-6 months. He will be re-evaluated at the four-month mark," Dombrowski said, per The Detroit News. "That late into the year, my thought process is that it would be more unlikely than likely (that Iglesias will play again this season).
