Francisley Bueno activated from disabled list Sunday

Bueno is dealing with a finger injury. He was able to get through a rehab assignment with no issues. Bueno tossed one inning with the club prior to the injury.

Bueno is working his way back from a finger injury. He has made two appearances with the Royals, giving up two runs (one earned) in one inning of work.

(5/1/2014) Royals pitcher Francisley Bueno is expected to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Lorenzo Cain this weekend, the Kansas City Star reports. Bueno has been out since April 7 while recovering from a finger injury.

The team has not announced a date for his rehab game, though Cain will begin his work on Friday.

Collins is on the disabled list after experiencing inflammation around his flexor tendon. Bueno is on the disabled list due to a bone bruise on his sprained finger.

(4/19/2014) A pair of Royals relievers tossed side sessions Friday, as they continue their recoveries from injury. Tim Collins (elbow) and Francisley Bueno (hand) both threw their full complements of pitches, and manager Ned Yost told MLB.com he came away impressed with their progress.

"Collins felt great; Bueno still felt his finger on occasion on changeups, not fastballs or sliders," Yost said. "They're both making good progress."

 Both players are eligible to return from the disabled list Friday, though it is not clear if they will do so immediately.

(8/31/2013) The Royals plan to recall reliever Francisley Bueno and select the contract of catcher Brett Hayes from Triple-A Omaha before Sunday's game at Toronto, the Kansas City Star reports. 

The 32-year-old Bueno has pitched in one game for Kansas City this season. He earned a win with 2 1/3 shutout innings of one-hit ball. 

Hayes was up with Kansas City earlier in August. He played in three games and went 3 for 11 (.273) with two doubles, a run scored and two strikeouts.
