Jordan Pacheco back, Nick Evans out for Arizona

(7/28/2014) The Diamondbacks have activated infielder/catcher Jordan Pacheco from the 15-day disabled list and released utility man Nick Evans .

Pacheco has been used sparingly this season, but has been serviceable. He's batting .250 with eight RBI in 80 at-bats.

Evans was tearing it up at that level with 12 hits, including two doubles, in his last 20 at-bats.

Evans had the option of electing free agency, but he'll stick in the Diamondbacks organization and serve as minor-league depth until he's potentially needed at the major-league level. He went 1 for 11 in seven appearances with the Diamondbacks before being designated for assignment.

(3/9/2014) The Diamondbacks announced a slew of roster moves Sunday, which included Eury De La Rosa, Ender Inciarte, Alfredo Marte and Zeke Spruill being optioned to Triple-A Reno.

The Diamondbacks also reassigned Nick Ahmed, Jake Barrett, Mike Bolsinger, Danny Dorn, Nick Evans, Jake Lamb, Adam Russell, Matt Stites and Bobby Wilson to minor-league camp.
