Reds cut 11 from camp


(3/17/2009) The Reds cut 11 players from their major league camp on Monday. SP Sam LeCure, SP Matt Maloney and RP Robert Manuel were optioned to Class AAA Louisville. 3B Juan Francisco was optioned to Class AA Carolina. Sent to minor-league camp for re-assignment were SP James Avery, 1B Wes Bankston, 1B Kevin Barker, 2B Luis Bolivar, SP Ben Jukich, C Chris Kroski, SP Adam Pettyjohn and SP Jordan Smith.
