Eddie Bonine signs minor-league deal with Padres

(4/20/2013) Eddie Bonine, who was recently released by the Diamondbacks, signed a minor-league deal with the Padres Saturday.

The right-hander has been assigned to Triple-A Tucson. Bonine has not pitched in the majors since 2010.

(4/20/2013) After a rough start to the season, the Diamondbacks released pitcher Eddie Bonine Saturday. Bonine, who joined Arizona on a minor-league contract during the offseason, registered a 6.30 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in four games (one start) for Triple-A Reno.
