(12/13/2010) The Rockies agreed to terms on a minor league deal with RP Geno M. Espineli on Monday, according to MLB.com. Espineli comes to Colordao from the Giants' system, and he went 5-5 with a 3.26 ERA and 12 saves with Triple-A Fresno this season.
(9/7/2008) Geno Espinelli (2-0) pitched a third of an inning Saturday for the win while closer Brian Wilson worked 1 2/3 innings for his 37th save in 40 chances despite giving up a run in the ninth. It was the longest save outing by Wilson since he got five outs against Milwaukee on Aug. 25, 2007.
Bowker, Misch, Espineli called up
(9/2/2008) The Giants recalled left-handers Patrick Misch and Geno M. Espineli and outfielder John Bowker from Triple-A Fresno on Tuesday. Bowker, who also plays the infield, was originally called up on April 13 and played in 96 games for the Giants, hitting .247 with nine home runs and 40 RBI before being optioned back to Fresno on Aug. 13. Misch was called up April 27 and went 0-3 with a 5.94 ERA in 11 games, seven starts, before being sent back to Fresno on June 14. Espineli appeared in nine games for the Giants from July 20-Aug. 13, going 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA. He made his major-league debut against Milwaukee on July 20, throwing one scoreless inning.

(7/21/2008)The Sports Xchange reports that Giants RP Geno Espineli of Class AAA Fresno was promoted from Class AAA Fresno on Sunday -- replacing RHP Keiichi Yabu, who went on the DL -- and became the 12th Giant to make his big-league debut this year. Espineli, who is Filipino, is vying for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team and a trip to the Beijing Games.
