Braves sign Nick Weglarz to minor-league deal

(4/19/2013) The Braves have signed outfielder Nick Weglarz to a minor-league deal, the club announced. 

The Rays released Nick Weglarz this spring. The 25-year-old outfielder hit .239/.349/.413 at Double-A Akron in the Cleveland farm system last season. Expect Weglarz to report to Triple-A Gwinnett.

(3/24/2013) The Rays released minor-league first baseman Nick Weglarz on Sunday, reports the Tampa Bay Times. Weglarz was 0 for 2 with the Rays this spring. He hit .239 at Double-A Akron in the Cleveland organization last year.
