Aceves is currently in Triple-A. He tossed 19 2/3 innings in the majors this season, posting a 6.52 ERA. Aceves' suspension is not steroid-related.

(6/4/2014) The Yankees made several moves with their pitching staff Wednesday. They added Wade LeBlanc and Jose Ramirez to their active roster, designated Alfredo Aceves for assignment and demoted Preston Claiborne to Triple-A.

The most intriguing move is that regarding Ramirez, who has been impressive at Scranton-Wilkes Barre. He has given up just one run in 10 2/3 innings with 13 strikeouts. He has shown the ability to pitch out of jams, having allowed 12 hits and six walks.

(5/26/2014) Yankees pitcher Alfredo Aceves picked up his first win of the season Monday after tossing two scoreless innings in his team's 6-4, 12-inning win over the Cardinals.

Aceves (1-2) needed just 11 pitches to get six outs in the 10th and 11th innings, giving up one hit and hitting a batter but allowing no damage on the scoreboard. He owns a 5.28 ERA and 12:4 K:BB ratio in 15 1/3 innings.

(5/10/2014) Yankees pitcher Alfredo Aceves was hit with a loss Saturday after giving up one earned run on two hits and one walk in two innings and striking out one in his team's 5-4 loss to the Brewers.

Aceves (0-1) gave up a leadoff double in the seventh inning and watched the runner move to third base on a balk with two outs. The decisive run then scored on a single by the next batter. Aceves would score in a pitch a scoreless eighth inning, but his offense wasn't able to make anything happen in the late stages of the game. He owns a 1.23 ERA and 6:1 K:BB ratio in 7 1/3 innings over two appearances.
