Nationals bring Will Rhymes back on minor-league deal

(12/30/2013)  The Nationals signed infielder Will Rhymes to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training, Rhymes' agent announced Monday.

Rhymes spent last season with the team's Triple-A Syracuse affiliate, appearing in 133 games and hitting .274/.360/.349. He has spent parts of three seasons in the majors, last appearing in 47 games with the Rays in 2012. 


Nationals make second round of cuts

(3/14/2013) The Nationals made their second round of cuts Thursday, starting with optioning outfielder Eury Perez to Triple-A Syracuse. They also sent Nathan Karns, Sandy Leon and Anthony Rendon to Double-A Harrisburg, while reassigningPatrick McCoy, Will Rhymes and Matt Skole to minor-league camp.

(1/15/2013) The Nationals announced Tuesday they signed pitchers Fernando Abad, Bill Bray, Brandon Mann and Ross Ohlendorf and infielder Will Rhymes to minor-league deals. All of them have been invited to spring training as non-roster invitees.
