Zavada lands with Cardinals

(5/18/2012) The St. Louis Cardinals signed relief pitcher Clay Zavada to a minor-league contract on Friday. Zavada was released by Cincinnati during spring training after failing to make the team's bullpen. He has not appeared in the majors since 2009 with Arizona.
