Chris Leroux heading to Triple-A

The Yankees designated Leroux for assignment a few days ago. The team opted to send him down to the minors. Leroux has a 22.50 ERA over two innings.

Leroux was DFA'd in order to make room for Michael Pineda, who was activated from the disabled list. Leroux has appeared in two games in the majors this season, posting a 22.50 ERA.

Leroux, who has pitched twice in the bigs this season, hopes to produce better results. He yielded five runs on seven hits in two innings before being designated for assignment.

The 30-year-old Leroux made two regrettable appearances with New York earlier this season, giving up five earned runs on seven hits in two innings pitched.
