(2/28/2007) MLB.com reports that Astros catcher Hector Gimenez has received word that he'll need surgery for a torn labrum in his right shoulder and will likely miss the entire 2007 season. Gimenez will fly to Houston to have the surgery on March 5 and stay there for much of his rehab with Astros trainers. "I'm disappointed, but I know that that's what it has to be, to be healthy again." Gimenez said. "That's what I want. Even though I know I'm ready for the surgery, I'm scared, too, because it's the first time that I've had surgery in my career. But I have to do it, and work hard to come back."
