Ryan Perry outrighted to Double-A

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(6/27/2013) The Nationals outrighted pitcher Ryan Perry to Double-A Harrisburg Thursday to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Taylor Jordan, who is expected to make his MLB debut Saturday against the Mets. Perry hasn't pitched in the majors this season.

Nationals trim eight from roster

by Bill Passonno | CBSSports.com
(3/18/2013) The Washington Nationals made another wave of roster cuts Monday and optioned the following players to Triple-A Syracuse: pitchers Ryan Perry, Erik Davis and Yunesky Maya, first baseman Chris Marrero, catcher Jhonatan Solano and outfielder Corey Brown. In addition, the Nationals also reassigned pitcher Ross Ohlendorf and shortstop Zach Walters to their minor-league camp.

Perry heads to starting line

by Bill Passonno | CBSSports.com
(6/18/2012) Washington pitcher Ryan Perry will be converted from a reliever to a starter in order to provide more depth at the minor-league level, MASNSports.com reports. Perry, who was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse earlier this month, has exclusively served out of the bullpen in his four-year career. "We like his size," Nationals director of player development Doug Harris said Monday. "We like his athleticism. He has an ease to his delivery. We feel like, with Ryan, we have a chance to take a step back in order to take two steps forward."
