Cardinals return Jukich to Reds

(3/18/2010) St. Louis SP Ben Jukich will be returning to the Reds, according to MLB.com. The 27-year-old was a Rule 5 Draft pick that did not see many innings during spring training.

Cards pick up Jukich in Rule-5 draft

(12/11/2009) The Cardinals selected pitcher Ben Jukich in the Rule-5 draft from the Reds. He will have to stay on the Reds roster for the full season or be offered back to his original club for half of the $50,000 claiming price.

Reds cut 11 from camp

(3/17/2009) The Reds cut 11 players from their major league camp on Monday. SP Sam LeCure, SP Matt Maloney and RP Robert Manuel were optioned to Class AAA Louisville. 3B Juan Francisco was optioned to Class AA Carolina. Sent to minor-league camp for re-assignment were SP James Avery, 1B Wes Bankston, 1B Kevin Barker, 2B Luis Bolivar, SP Ben Jukich, C Chris Kroski, SP Adam Pettyjohn and SP Jordan Smith.
